We award a range of vocational qualifications relevant to the equine industry. Learners who choose our qualifications can use them to gain employment or progress into further/higher education. Our qualifications can also be undertaken while the learner is employed.
The qualifications we award are:
- The British Horse Society assessments
- Equestrian Tourism Qualifications
- Work Based Diplomas
- Scottish Vocational Qualifications
- BHSQ Personal Development Qualifications
Find out more about each qualification, whether you are a centre or learner; how our qualifications can be used as UCAS Tariff points; how we recognise prior learning and pathways to enter our qualifications; and how our qualifications fit with apprenticeships for the equine industry.
You can also visit the Register of Regulated Qualifications website for a complete list of all our qualifications.
If you have any queries, please contact the BHSQ Team.
BHSQ provides learners with certificates on the successful completion of a qualification.
We are aware of a few instances where certificates have been fraudulently changed and produced. This can be by a learner or an employer who seek to benefit from this activity.
To mitigate this BHSQ meets stringent regulatory requirements such as using specific certificate paper that has security features.
BHSQ strongly advises any party who has any doubt about the authenticity of a certificate to contact BHSQ as soon as possible. BHSQ will be able to confirm if the certificate is, or is not genuine.
