Equestrian Tourism Qualifications

 

These two qualifications will soon be withdrawn by BHSQ and will no longer be available for delivery and awarding.

The operational end date for these qualifications was the 30 June 2023.  BHSQ is no longer able to accept any new learner registrations.

The last date for certification is 30 June 2024.

 

What does this mean for learners?

If you are registered with BHS for either of these qualifications and wish to complete before 30 June 2024, please contact education@bhs.org.uk to discuss your options. 

 

BHSQ Level 2 Diploma for the Ride Leader

This qualification comprises six units. Three are specific to equestrian tourism and the other three are comprised of the units in the BHSQ Level 1 Certificate in BHS Horse Knowledge and Care. If these units have already been achieved in the BHS Stage 1 examination, they do not need to be repeated.

BHSQ Level 3 Diploma for the Ride Leader

This qualifications comprises five units. Three are specific to equestrian tourism and two are also units within the BHSQ Level 2 Diploma in BHS Horse Knowledge and Care. If these units have already been achieved in the BHS Stage 2 examination, they do not need to be repeated.
